Debt finance and finance leasing
MDT can arrange debt funding for aircraft, drawing on its strong relationships with major banks and other financial institutions in the aviation finance sector. MDT's strengths in structured finance enable us to resolve the tax, regulatory and accounting issues often faced by airlines.
Operating leasing
Airlines need to be able to effectively manage their fleets, and one technique to help them is operating leasing. MDT has arranged operating leases for mainline jets, regional jets and turboprop aircraft, and has established a pool of investors who, unlike some traditional lessors, are flexible in their approach and are able to tailor transactions to the airline’s needs.
Usually, we work with investors outside of the mainstream aircraft leasing companies. These investors bring a different perspective and usually represent new sources of finance for airlines. To give these investors comfort, MDT sometimes co-invests with an equity participation.

Sale and leaseback
The fleet requirements of airlines are rarely static, changing due to new strategic alliances, market factors and new route developments. A sale and leaseback agreement can be a useful tool to unlock capital.
The combination of MDT's industry knowledge and financial structuring skills can assist airlines to maximise sales proceeds while minimising the time required to remarket used aircraft.
